Janet Fashakin was a seasoned attorney, an experienced attorney of over two decades in practice, and a member of many professional organizations. Attorney Janet Fashakin started her law practice in New York, 2001.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Law from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ilé Ifẹ̀, in Nigeria, her Master’s Degree in Law from Yeshiva University, Cardozo School of Law in New York and proceeded to do her Doctorate Studies in Criminal Justice at Walden University in Baltimore, USA.
A multi-professional, Janet, was a Yorùbá woman from Ìjẹ̀sà land, Southwest, Nigeria. She was fluent in Yoruba and English Language.
Janet took delight in representing people from diverse backgrounds regardless of race, religion or social status.
In a cause to make life more meaningful to her people, the Yorùbás. She joined Yorùbá Self Determination Movement (YSDM) for a Sovereign Yorùbá Nation.
She was an active member of Yorùbá Leadership Forum home and abroad till her last breath.
