Afenifere Diaspora USA in a terse statement jointly signed by both Prof. Sikiru Fadairo (Chairman) and Comrade David Adenekan (Secretary) and delivered to the news room on Monday March 3rd, 2025 has undoubtedly affirmed its group as the only authentic and authorized organization that represent the Apex Body, Afenifere under the new acting leadership of Oba Olaitan Oladipo, after the demise of Pa. Ayodele Samuel Adebanjo of blessed memory.
The group re calls that Afenifere Diaspora USA was firmly established out of the urgent need to rebrand and strategically reposition the great influence of Afenifere in diaspora and to work hand in hand with the Apex Body to develop a new framework in tandem with the welfare ideology of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo to accelerate social economic development, both in diaspora and at home.
“Afenifere Diaspora USA is truly a renaissance of progressive movement like, Egbe Omo Oduduwa that was established in 1945 by Sir. Adeyemo Alakija as president, Yekini Ojukwutu as Vice President, Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo as General Secretary, Akinola Maja, Oni Akerele, Akinola Williams, Saburi Biobaku, Abiodun Akinrele, D.O.A. Oguntoye, Ayo Rosili and others in London, England.” The group stated.

Suffice it to say, Afenifere Diaspora USA hereby issues a statement of disclaimer to any such groups or individuals who falsely claim such unique identity as a group or individuals representing Afenifere National Body in United States. It is an act of ‘tale of truth and falsehood’ to claim such titles or positions.” Afenifere Diaspora USA declared.
